Dear Ex Best Friend:
I don’t know who you would be because both my previous best friends died, we didn’t have a falling out. It takes a lot for me to just be friends, let alone “best” friends, with someone and I don’t dissolve friendships easily. If we are not friends anymore and you thought you were my “best” friend, I’m sorry to disappoint you on both counts. If I couldn’t stay just friends with you, there’s no way in Hell we could ever be or ever were “best” friends.
